Project

Your actions create a new future for the Earth.

Instead of discarding items, we pass them along to someone else.
With just one action, you can contribute to reducing environmental impact.
We can reduce our impact on the environment and support a sustainable future.
ALLU is committed to reducing the environmental footprint of the products we handle,
including using recyclable materials for packaging and measuring the reduction of carbon emissions,
water usage, energy consumption, and PM2.5 emissions.
Through brand reuse, we aim to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

“ALLU RENEWS PROJECT” is a project to embody our vision of creating a new circular society
by giving new value to old items, defining this process as "RENEWS" (renewing again).

Reality
Reality of Fashion and the Environment
The word “Mottainai,” meaning "waste not," has become globally recognized as a keyword for striving toward a sustainable society.
However, do you know that the fashion industry, with its continuous cycle of mass production and consumption, still has many wasteful realities?

Environmental Impact from Raw Material Procurement to Manufacturing in Japan's Fashion Industry (Annually)
When manufacturing a single piece of clothing, about 25.5 kg of CO2 is emitted, which is equivalent to producing around 255 plastic bottles, and about 11 bathtubs worth of water is used.

What Can We Do
What We Can Do for the Future

Long-Term Relationship with One Item
For example, if you wear a piece of clothing you already own for just one more year instead of discarding it, that alone can contribute to a reduction of about 40,000 tons of waste across Japan.

Extend the Life of Items through Reuse
Only about 20% of the clothes we discard are reused through flea market apps or collection programs. If all clothes that haven’t been worn in a year are sent for reuse, the amount increases by about tenfold.

Recycling Instead of Discarding
Approximately 34% of clothes that are discarded are reused or recycled. If the remaining clothes are collected and recycled into raw materials, up to 2,500 tons of CO2 emissions can be reduced annually.

ALLU’s Efforts Toward a Sustainable Society

By ensuring that items do not get discarded but instead are reused as finite resources, we aim for a sustainable society. Through our efforts in brand reuse, ALLU engages in various activities to promote this.

Sustainable Future Achievements

The newly opened ALLU Omotesando store is designed with sustainable interiors using materials that were previously in use. For example, the carpets are made from environmentally friendly materials, achieving a store design with minimal environmental impact and waste.
